About the event
Learn how to harvest, prepare and use plant-based dyes from the garden to colour textiles at the following free workshops.
Ngakinga is a living sculpture garden, growing plants chosen for their natural dye properties. Here, native and introduced species mix, honouring Indigenous knowledge and celebrating colour-making traditions. They will explore decolonisation, ecosystem regeneration, sustainable practice and connection to whenua, all while turning plants into art.
