About the event


Lake House Arts and Te Toi Aro present the Kaipātiki Kapa Haka Cultural Festival.


The purpose of this event is to bring the community together in a vibrant celebration of culture, language, and youth. Kapa haka groups from early childhood centres through to colleges will take the stage alongside other multicultural performance groups, showcasing the rich diversity of our community.


Hosted at the historic Hāto Petera sports grounds in Northcote, this special day is also about honouring te ao Māori, uplifting our young performers, and creating a welcoming space where all cultures are valued and shared. It’s an opportunity for whānau, schools, and the wider community to connect, celebrate, and strengthen our sense of belonging in Northcote.


The event will feature a full day of kapa haka and multicultural performances by groups from Early Childhood Education Centres, primary and intermediate schools, and colleges across the North Shore. Performances will take…
